Tamale Pot Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups sweet corn frozen or large can
  • 1/4 cup black olives sliced
  • 14 1/2 oz diced tomoatoes can
  • 1 1/4 cup Bisquick Biscuit mix
  • 1 Tbs chili powder
  • 2 Tsp cumin ground
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Tsp green chillies chopped
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 400°.Heat large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add 2 T. cooking oil and then brown the ground beef.
  • When almost brown, add the sweet corn, the canned tomatoes, sliced olives, chili powder, ¼ cup of biscuit mix, cumin and salt.  Bring to a boil.
  • Cook for one minute then turn off heat.Transfer to a nine-by-nine inch or similar size baking pan.
  • Stir together the cup of biscuit mix, egg, cornmeal, milk and chopped green chile. Mix until blended, then pour over the meat mixture.
  • Bake uncovered at 400°for 20-30 minutes, removing when the top crust has browned.
  • Remove from the oven, cut and serve.
