Ras El Hanout

In Morocco, the name is translated as "head of shop." In North Africa, this blend can contain from 10 to 100 different spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix all ingredients. Any extra spice blend can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
