Scalloped Potatoes
Scalloped Potatoes
A favorite recipe from my youth, based on the recipe that my mother used.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Yukon gold or russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 2 cups ham chunks
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Grease a square or rectangular oven-proof 9 x 12" pan. Layer with potatoes and ham. Mix milk and flour and pour over the potatos and ham until it is almost to the top of the mixture. If you need more milk and flour, mix additional, as needed. Dot top with bits of butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for about an hour until done. Serve.
